Did you tint your windows? I've read that metallic tint can mess up AM.

I noticed picking up both AM and FM signals were a lot more difficult than what I had before my 300. I drive a heck of a lot and I can only pick up signals about half as far as I used to. But 95% of the time I listen to Sirius anyways.

If i can pick it up in 1 vehicle, i am gonna need to pick it up in another.. Also, FM gets noisy at times, ie static.. Might be loose antenna or something... Just wnted to make sure it didnt have anything to do with sirius activation.

The reception is not that good. I suspect it is due to to not having an external antenna. Chrysler replaced something when I brought it in and complained- maybe an AM modulator? It may have helped a little, but bottom line is the AM reception sucks. Glad I have the Sirius, but that doesn't help when you want a specific station for the ballgame.

Yeah that's one thing I wish Sirius had is MLB. Like I'm not spoiled enough with every game of every other sport.

AM reception

Hello everyone,

I too have had no AM reception. My other cars pick up a lot of AM channels. BUT I also had the windows tinted with 3M (a must in Florida). Now absolutely no AM signals at all. Does anyone know how to get a booster or something. I won't spend a lot of money rather I would have an XM system installed. Have that in the wife's car and it is great.

Wonder what can be done about the "no AM" problem. Suggestions? Fixes? Anyone know?

I really love my 300C. I have owned a lot of cars over the last 35 years but I think it is the best car I have ever had. And this is coming from a diehard GM guy (Cadillacs and Corvettes even a 96 Impala SS) I stilll get head turns and questions and have had it for a year.

I have the custom grille and vent visors. With the tint windows it looks great in Satin Jade Pearl. Even had a young fellow once ask "hey, is that one of them Chrysler Bentley's?" DOH.

Thanks

Spydre (Carl)
