rec and sirius displayed on the evic questions

Okay i recently put a rec in my 300. everything works for the most part. I was driving it today and i noticed for the first time while listening to sirius the evic displays "no signal." I am getting a fine signal songs and channels display on the rec and i get a perfect signal of the songs.

The nav functions appear on the evic fm,am appear just fine. I was thinking i might need a starscan flash. But some guys on 3cz said it seems its already had the flash or it wouldnt show no signal on the evic. But suggest maybe it needs and updated flash. What do you guys think about the issue. Anyone experience this on a conversion to the REC in their car?
