Confirm the stock battery group

I saw in a post someone mentioned needing a group 72 battery.

I don't think that's correct. I looked at ours and the
Mopar part number is H7-72.

Basically H7 is the DIN group (I think), which is used by some
European cars such as BWM and Mercedes.

I believe this converts to BIC 94R.

So if you want to replace the OEM battery look for group 94R.

There are some aftermarkets which make direct replacements.

The original part numbers for 2005 300C are BA94R730EX and BB94R750AA.
Lately they were replaced with the new number 4608719AB.
There are also export numbers for dry and wet types.

Thanks for confirming....If I go aftermarket I need to look at BCI 94R.
