I can't find a place to install a JL Audio 500/5 amp in my 300C

I have an appointment for an audio system upgrade on Wednesday. I went out today to get an idea of the possibilities of where to install the amp. To me, it appears the only place would be in the spare tire area, which would mean no more spare tire. I don't want to drive around without a spare.

I could put the amp in the trunk behind the seats and in front of the spare tire well, but I would lose already valuable trunk space. There is no way to install the amp in the rear deck, as it's too heavy and there's not enough room. I suppose somebody could revamp the lower portion of the rear deck, but that seems like a bit of work.

It's looking more and more that I'll be sticking with the BA6 system.

I lost the split folding capability of my rear seats, so now they have
to be folded down together. But a carpeted board was used on
the back of the seats and my TWO amps were mounted there.

I know how long the JL /5 is, but it's not longer than 2 MTX TC amps,
so it should definitely fit on the back of your seats and you are better
off mounting the JL amp vertically, given the orientation of the heatsinks.

And that shouldn't take much of your trunk.....
