Did you ever start a project and then say I will do this that and this today? Only to find it took you 2 days to do the this? Well... I am finally done with the this...

The kicks are done, wired (harder than it sounds, Dynaudio wire connectors suck) and I soldered them to be sure no issues.

I got the kicks sanded some more and then also wrapped in a pretty close match to the interior down below. Anyway, these will slip right into place, but I dont want to do that this second. I can tell already I will need a couple sill pieces because I will trash the vinyl... CRAP Billet Tech here I come.

Been there and had some mishaps that made it even longer. Spent 2 days on a grand prix, was about to finish when the negative tap fell out of the battery
at 2am!!!!!

looks good. I take it you will mount the crossovers in the trunk.

Well I was thinking of keepin them up front but THEY ARE HUGE... Like 7.5" by 4". I was just in the car... I was thinking (and this sounds like a terrible idea) cutting the carpet in a rectangle the size of the Xovers, and mounting them as you look in the car on the right, and left side of the tranny.

Basically facing you when you look in the car door, and under the shifter...

I would love to keep them up front to save the wire, and I have the 4s, and tweet wired ready for the xover, but they I think are only like 10 feet so not enough room to get to the trunk.

Any suggestions? I was almost thinking about putting them on a piece of wood, and mount them where the factory amp was located?

In an older install I had back in the 90's I mounted the crossovers in
the trunk, but my current install I have a crossover on the passenger
side above the kick panel, and on the driver side on the shelf next to
the stock amp. These polk crossovers are not small at all for a 2way.

I haven't looked under the seats, but that may be a good spot for them.

I did the doors (dynamat, and pods from the factory I added some beef to them). Dynaudio 7s. They look small, I want the 8s.

I FINALLY GOT TO LISTEN TO IT! Subs and all! Holy cow I love the sound. There is no vibration which is what I was DREADING. I really really thought it would shake the rear deck, and it does not.

I am running a ZAPCO 650.6 on the whole system. The way I have it set, the power is about 180w x 2 on the fronts, and says 500w x 1 on the subs. I have the gain down for the subs. Man what a clean ass amp, I love it. And the reason I started the build was lack of midbass... Well I fixed that LOL. There is TONS. And I cant tell where the bass is coming from. I have to look at the rear deck to be sure the woofers are moving.

Only thing I am not all that excited about is the stage is low due to the kick panels. I have not touched the EQ or time alignment and there are 100s of settings with the PC program that it comes with. I cant wait to mess with it!

awesome!!!!!

I had a feeling it would turn out this way....

Don't worry about the stage height as I'm sure this will get worked out during tuning.

Tuning will raise the height?

With what settings? I have 10 band EQ, Time Delay (I assume thats it), Q settings and input and output sensitivity.

I am sure there are other things there

I can't see the pics anymore . I had my mids and highs in the kick panels of an Accord about 10 years ago and had no problem with the height of the sound stage.
