You have to remember the vast majority (I'd guess 80+%) of people that actually do mod their 300s, tend to do so with really cheap, tacky mods - little of which is actually made by Mopar. If I had a buck for every 300 I've seen with generic 22s, a flip-up unit from a crappy sound shop, and a cheap sound system that was actually worse quality than the OEM unit (but hey, it has big subs in the trunk!) - I'd be a rich man. XD

Not as rich as if I had a penny for every ricer Japanese car I've seen.. but yeah..

Jesus Christ I hate that picture.

I'm glad your happy Immo! I've had mine for a few weeks and love it.

There is a glitch, however...

With my old REC I had paid for a Sirius subscription reactivation after the trial ran out. With this RER I still was running the free trial but it worked fine including the EVIC display. Then, the free subscription ran out on the RER. I called sirius and had them turn off my old activation and transfer it to the RER. Now with my subscription solely on my RER my EVIC flases between "no signal" and the station rapidly like a strobe almost. I'm afraid that the stock Sirius tuner might require a subscription as well as the RER just to get the EVIC to work. I'm not paying for a new subsciption.

Also, I updated the software to 9.8 and now have some problems. Here they are:
1- I get a popping from the rear speakers and the front center speaker is louder.
2- When the nav chick comes on, the music playing gets lower but the center speaker gets louder (playing music). This didn't happen before.
3- My HDD has all the songs from before but freezes up the unit and won't play. I have to put it on CD or something else and power the unit on and off to get it to move again.

Well, that's it. My biggest thing is the EVIC. Any clues?

Adam, im gonna say you are probably right, in that youll need to have a subscription on the sirius receiver too in order for it to work.

Yeah. That's what I was afraid of. I guess there really isn't a sat/evic cure. I'm gonna unplug the splitter. I would rather it say "no signal" then have it flash. It was a pretty smart try though!

look on the bright side - i took my sirius receiver out and sold it with the harness (plus an aftermarket antenna) for $250.
