Yes, If you pull your radio out it has two possible mounting position, It you look how I have it mounted it is in the lower mounting postion. you could mount it in the upper position similar to the non-nav radios are mounted.

Can you take a picture of where you installed the backup camera? How hard was it to install? and it automatically turns on when you are in reverse right?

I think I would go aftermarket if I was to replace my REC. If your going to do all this work you could get so much more bang for the buck aftermarket IMO.

Good job though.

Hi Eugene!
I have 2006 300c HEMI Touring and live in Sweden, and want to know where you got the Mygig unit from? Was it a european unit, or did you buy it on Ebay or something like that? Need to know how to get a unit that can work in a european 300c and make the switch with the aid of picklock from Coastal + the bezel that you mentioned.Anbody else who has any info on this is welcome to answer to.
Regards
MIKE

Good job though.
I was considering aftermarket but I did want the evic dispaly and wasn't really plan having the clock issue . I looked at the aftermarket route and the few I was looking at was going to run 1500-1800 by the time I bought the radio, 3 pac modules, bluetooth module, sirius module and what not. what bummed me off a little about the aftermarket is when I would surf some of the pioneer forums lots of people complained about something(won't even go into issues with new f-series)even though the Z series seemed to get better with time. People seemed to be preety happy with the Kenwoods.

Anyway I had a chance to get a MYGIG for $250 and with the price of the adapter and other pieces I'm in it for a lot less than $1800 plus I have a REC with Nav2go mod and Uconnect with jet harness setup to sell down the road. Keep in mind I wasn't planning on some of the setbacks with the adapter. More so I did it as a good project to test my bezel modding skills and take my mind off work in the evening hours.

Who knows I may still end up with a Kenwood DNX8120 down the road, that is a sweet unit. what we need is a adapter to interface aftermarket units with EVIC, now that would be sweet.

I have used two different cameras in the past, the first(no picture still looking) was camera mounted into the licence plate frame and now I have a camera mounted in between the licence plate lights. Both installs were easy(4 wires total) +12 volts and ground, rca wire from camera to back of the radio and then revervse trigger wire to turn the camera on automatically when you shift to reverse. The reverse wire can be found up front but I found it easier just to run wire to back tail light and tap into wire in the +12 wire in the reverse lamp socket.

No, the mygig doesn't have rca's on the back. Since your mygig is installed in 2008 lx you would need to purchase the mygig lockpick, this would give you:

DVD PLAY WHILE IN MOTION - AUTOMATICALLY
SAT TV ON FRONT SCREEN WHILE IN MOTION (IN EQUIPPED VEHICLES) - AUTOMATICALLY
NAVIGATION ADDRESS INPUT WHILE IN MOTION (IN EQUIPPED VEHICLES) - AUTOMATICALLY
UNLOCK EVEN DEALER BLOCKED VIDEO - EVEN IF YOUR VIDEO BUTTON IS NEVER VISIBLE THE LOCKPICK WILL EXPOSE AND UNBLOCK IT
TURN ON BACKUP REVERSE CAMERA INPUT FOR AFTERMARKET INSTALLATIONS
TURN ON FACTORY REVERSE CAMERA AT ANY TIME, EVEN IN DRIVE IF DESIRED
TURN ON A REAR SEAT BABY CAM AT ANY TIME
TURN ON A FRONT CAMERA AT ANY TIME
TURN ON A FRONT CAMERA AUTOMATICALLY BELOW 8MPH TO AID IN PARKING
TURN ON VES (REAR ENTERTAINMENT MODE) IN NON EQUIPPED VEHICLES - ENABLES A VIDEO AND AUDIO INPUT FOR YOUR IPOD, IPHONE, COMPUTER, OR VIDEO GAME
AUX INS UNLOCKED IN VES EQUIPPED VEHICLES WHILE IN DRIVE
UCONNECT AND VOICE RECOGNITION ENABLED ON NAV RADIOS - JUST ADD A MICROPHONE AND YOU ARE READY TO GO SEE MICROPHONE OPTION HERE
NO SWITCHES TO ADD - USES FACTORY RADIO BUTTONS
NO LOSS OF NAVIGATION USE WHILE UNLOCKED - VOICE COMMANDS AND MAP TRACKING UNAFFECTED - EVEN WHILE VIDEO IS VIEWED
ACC POWER OUTPUT PROVIDED FOR YOUR AFTERMARKET POWER NEEDS - TURNS OFF WHEN YOUR CAR TURNS OFF
CAMERAS POWERED AND CONTROLLED BY THE LOCKPICK - NO NEED FOR COMPLICATED WIRING OR EXTRA SWITCHES
NEW FUNCTIONS ADDED TO ALLOW SIMPLE CONNECTIONS OF AFTERMARKET BLUETOOTH KITS IN STANDARD NON NAV MYGIG RADIOS
PROGRAMMABLE DIP SWITCHES TO ENABLE OR TURN OFF SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
NO CUT WIRES - 15 MINUTE INSTALL WITH PLUG AND PLAY FACTORY CONNECTORS

Here is link for the mygig lockpick for 2008 lx's not to be confused with mygig adapter for 2005-07 lx's.

MYGIG LOCKPICK

As for the camera, it was pretty inexpensive(under$50 inc. shipping from china) and purchased on ebay, do a search for rear back up camera and you should come across it.
