I received my new mygig, lockpick and nav antenna today. Just went out and installed it. My nav picks up no satellite and my fm antenna is not working. Pulled it back out and both are plugged in securely. Any ideas??
Maybe you have them plugged into the wrong spot, unlucky since they should be keyed to prevent this but you may want to check. GPS is the top connecter and the am/fm is right below it, the sat is the botton connecter slighly to the right of the GPS and am/fm.
have posted now the photo
i have made an different to you
we take the measure when we fixed upside the MyGIG in the original screwholes of old MyGIG so our position is little bit higher than yours
but its fits perfect
I just got an email from him last night, he is sending me a paper template to make one for me. If I can't get my nav and FM working on this thing I guess it's pointless though.

I was wondering if it makes a difference where the nav antenna is located in the car and which direction it is facing. And on my FM antenna, there is a round black plastic piece that turns on the end of my cars antenna. Is this supposed to be on there when I connect the adapter or is it keeping the two from making a connection?

I have my GPS antenna just facing up sitting on top of the air ducts behind the dash. As far as the am/fm anteena, all I did is pull the antenna out of the REC radio attach the adapter and plug in to the MYGIG. Perhaps you can test the adapter with a ohm check on a multimeter.
Is everything else working such as DVD, harddrive and sat.... do you have sound? perhaps check to see if the connectors on the mygig look damaged?

I have my nav antenna on top of the stereo, I think I'll try moving that tomorrow. I'll also check out the adapter for the FM, good idea.
I've been out messing around with it and everything else seems to work fine. DVD works, harddrive copied a cd with no problems. Just the nav and the radio. I did notice though that my clock doesn't show 12:00, it shows --:--.

I would look really close at the connectors on the back, they may be damaged.

Checked out the connections this morning and moved the nav antenna to on top of the ducts. I haven't tried the nav yet but did notice that on the FM adapter that was sent with my mygig adapter, the wire on the end that connects to the cars antenna only comes out of the cable probably less that 1/32 of an inch, I don't think its long enough to make the connection. Is this a part available through dealerships or do I have to wait for a new one to get shipped?
