This is my experience and a few questions
I have installed a P/N 5064737AC RER MYGIG (purchased off of Ebay-I hope it's not stolen) in my 2006 300C. I used a Lockpick adapter and the Coastal mic. I bought connectors from Digikey and made a cable to run from the existing Sat antenna to the radio and I cut off the GPS connector and put on a new one so that I could plug in the existing GPS antenna. I also installed a backup camera just above the license plate similar to 300MAG's installation. I mounted the radio high in the bezel opening and made a "cubby" just below for CD's or whatever. That was made out of Black ABS. The whole thing looks pretty good except for the slight gap around the radio. If it bugs me too much in the future I my do something else. Time will tell. The good news is that everything seems to work pretty well. The radio came with the Sirius subscription already activated. I don't know when it will run out, but my present will expire next April and I bet this one is longer. Now for the questions.
1. When the Nav voice comes on there is a very brief blast of radio sound from the right front speaker. It seems to do it no matter what the radio level is set for even all the way down. It is really very brief, but annoying non the less. From what I have read here there has been some sort of a Coastal problem in this area, but I thought they fixed it. Has any one else seen this problem?
2. The EVIC displays everything just as before with the REC, but the steering wheel buttons do not operate in the navigation mode as before. When I scroll to the nav mode using the steering wheel buttons it says "navigation system off". I suspect this has something to do with the fact that this radio uses a touch screen for input. It does display street names and turn information just fine. Is this what everyone else is seeing?
3. The software installed in this radio is version 1.055 which is apparently a 2009 version of 9.807. It has the features of 9.807, no jukebox etc. Does anyone know why the series has been changed? In addition the mapping database is "RS12-N207 0807". Does anybody have a clue what version that is?
4. On the system setup screen there is no "Subscription" soft key. How does one get the Siruis code number?
5. The radio paired fine with my Nokia N95 phone and the phone book appears in the address book area, but it says "there are no entries".
Chrysler says, on their website, that the radio is compatible with this phone so is there something I need to do to get my phone entries to transfer to the radio? It would be really cool if I didn't have to load all of them into the radio one at a time.
Sorry for this long winded post, but you have blazed a road that I have now gone down and I am glad I did. The MYGIG rocks!
