MYGIG istalled in pre-08 LX using MYGIG adapter

So I finally recieved the long awaited MYGIG adapter from Coastal E-Tech today. With this I shot home from work and ripped out the REC and installed the MYGIG.

For the Installaion the Lockpick adapter was plug and play and setting a couple of DIP switches(very easy).

AM/FM antenna wire adapted to MYGIG with supplied adapter.

For the Sat antenna wire. I used a extension cable to run the roof antenna wire to the MYGIG. Chrysler part#05064159AD.

Nav antenna had to be replaced as the connectors was different.

Builtin Uconnect requires Microphone or some type of adapting of uconnect controls on mirror. I purchased plug and play microphone from Coastal for $20.

So the install is complete and the MYGIG is working. I haven't tested everything but here are results so far.

*Back up camera working
*Sat is working
*Nav is working(nav voice guidance has a bug that when the nav voice come on the radio volume from the right speaker gets a little loader and it could be diffucult to here the nav vioce. I was able to find a somewhat happy median but playing the all the volums adjustments, this could be drawback.
*Uconnect is working
*Steering wheel switches controls Vol, Change Modes, Change stations.

*Nav is working(nav voice guidance has a bug that when the nav voice come on the radio volume from the right speaker gets a little loader and it could be diffucult to here the nav vioce. I was able to find a barely happy median by playing with the volume adjustments, but this will be unacceptable to most. I found it better with soft music compared to something with a lot of bass.

*Clock dosen't work on MYGIG, just stay set at "12:00" Coastal reported this wasn't going to work on some cars.

*I have my "VES" video output feeding into the A/V input and the video displays fine on the MYGIG. The VES system works fine with the headphones but the sound dosen't play through the MYGIG. I'm going to need to research this some more but I think I can overcome this by tapping the audio output of the VES and feeding it into the A/V inputs of the MYGIG adapter.

*HDD and built in CD/DVD player is working fine with the abilty to watch video in motion(if you choose to, not recommended)

As I play with it some more this weekend I will post up more infomation and YES I will post some pictures a little later.

Wouldn't buying the 2008 bezel with the mygig cutout work much better? I would think that it would save alot of time and hassle, much less having visible glue markings on the trim work. If everything lines up, I would think it would be the way to go.

First off the 08 bezel dosen't fit the 05-07 300's it is shaped diffentely since the the center console changed in 08. Second, the pictures posted are of the bezel in process, I do quality work that once completed will look OEM.

I also personaly don't care for the 08 bezel with the MYGIG pushed all the up top to make room for a useless cubby at the bottom IMHO.

Are you sure the mygig is pushed up higher? If it was I might actualy like that some Im not looking down so low. I guess if it was actaully mounted higher I would have no way to screw it into the existing mount.

I think someone has already did the retrofit with the 08 bezel and mygig in the earlier 300c, I will see if I can find the thread.

I was the one that was rejected from buying from them since I am considered an international customer. The odd thing is a guy from Melbourne Austrailia did a groupd buy through them for the adapter, I found this info by accident on google. Also searching on Coastal Technologies on google brings up many threads of complaints about really, really bad customer support. Too bad no one else sells this yet, its only a matter of time.
