CDA Files Written to RER Radio

I have a friend with an RER radio. He inserted an audio CD with cda files on it and the radio asked him right away if he wanted to copy the disc to the HDD. He did so and said it showed a progress bar for all of the tracks. He can't find the tracks on the HDD. I told him that I thought you had to rip the cda files to mp3's first. Did he screw up, and if so, can he delete the files somehow and do it again with ripped mp3's? The RER manual states "When copying CD-Audio to HDD, audio files are converetedfrom CD-Audio to WMA." Thanks, regards, Bob.
