Problem with volume

Seem to be having a problem with my volume every once in awhile. It seems to happen on colder days.. I have an 05' with nav (no touch screen) and I am unable to increase the volume. I can turn it down, but I will end up stuck on mute. It's seeming like a software issue because the last time it happened I was unable to switch the source to SAT.. Only radio and CD (am able to switch stations and songs though). Tried turning radio and car off with no change. But the next day it was working fine. Every time it has happened it was on radio upon startup, and switching to SAT would correct the problem (except the last).

Any ideas?
BTW I do not have any mods done to the system either.

Thanks,
MacK

My radio sometimes wigs out on me for no apparent reason. Sometimes volume is stuck on low. Sometimes volume won't work at all.
One time I was playing the radio with engine off and the volume wouldn't change. Opened and closed the door and the volume worked again.
Just another one of the strange electrical gremlins.
