Pac and a couple more questions [Mr. iNCREDIBLE]

i put your name cause you said you had many years experience with pac products. anyone else please feel free to answer.

Here is my questions.

The factory harness has no wires for the REAR SPEKAER, how or what do i do to have fader control or if we wire with just the front speaker how will it act?

2nd question

On the can pac adapter (c2r-chy4) the 2 yellow and the 2 black wires both get connected to power. for yellow ground for black on radio wiring harness?

if you are keeping the OEM amp, you lose fader control, as the OEM amp controls the fade thru the canbus, if you are using after market amps, then you don't hook up the speaker outputs on the C2R-CHY4

the Yellow should go to aftermarket radios yellow (aka constant) power wires and the Black to the radios Black Ground wires.

you aren't connecting these to the cars ground and power, but to the aftermarket radios harness..

the C2R-CHY4 supplies the power to power up the radio. the 2 yellow and 2 black are the pass thrus for the 2 internal modules (the C2R and the SWI-CAN)

O ok so i just loose the fadeness and its set to standard middle all the time. Will i be able to control the bass from the speakers atleast threw the radio (bass on door speakers)

so am i not going to even need 1 of those 2 wires??

connect them both, per the instructions, they are both required even if you don't use the steering control module.

as I recall the directions state to attach the C2R to the rear channels of the Aftermarket radio harness, so set the fade to full rear, this gives you full power/signal to the rear, setting it at the center cuts the power in half. the factory amp handles the cross over for low to the doors, (the factory amp actually handles all the controls, the factory headunit is a user control device, all the settings (bass, treble, fade, balance, crossovers etc) are handled by the factory amp).
