That is a really old post and the offer was only for early 2005 buyers. It is no longer valid and Alpine did not honor copies of the form for the members that tried.

I have updated the post that you quoted, SORRY!

Quick question, I just burned the new 05064033AF navi disk with a Dual Layer burner and it was successful but when i load it in the navi slot, the screen states" unable to read DVD"?
Anyone know how to help?
I burned it as a dvd data.
Thanks

What brand of DVD are you using. The most success has been with the utilization of the Verbatim DL discs. I use the Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL.

I have successfully updated my AF verision with the In-Motion Hack from version 02.06.00 to 02.06.01.

I bought the AC edition with "in motion hack" from one of our members a year or so ago. If I update to the latest regular version, will I lose the "in motion" feature?

Really?...I couldn't get verbatim discs to work for the life of me. I tried memorex which worked quite flawlessly, but for some reason the unit would get *really* hot using this disc....don't know why. I tried verbatim and it would just instantly say 'error reading dvd'....now I'm using fujifilm discs, and I get sporatic 'error reading dvd's which is annoying, but at least it doesn't make the unit heat up like crazy. Anyone else had any similar experiences or tried any other brands that work better?

I've made lots of AF discs and in motion hack discs for me and my friends. I had a few issues at first, but now every one works fine. I started with a actual AF disc, not a torrent.
