Great project. I like how you adapted the lexan to this project.
Thanks man. I gotta say that I love this Lexan stuff. Very easy to work with. If there are two things that are good to have laying around, it would be Lexan and flexible door trim - I can't count how many times I've used both of those for just random stuff. They belong in a category with duct tape!

Hey buddy, your doing really well and its looking great
Just wondered will the lexan bend into shape if you applied mild heat, just wondered?
Thanks. Don't think the lexan will. I did try some heating techniques back when I was doing the insert for the engine cover. Never got really serious with it, but no matter what I would do, no matter what shape I had it bent into and held, and no matter how much heat or how long it was in that shape... it always popped back perfectly flat!!!
So could it be shaped? Maybe I guess. Some of the cheaper non-polycarbonate types of plexiglass probably could, but Lexan holds up well to heat. I guess I can experiment with it because I do have a future project idea that will require some type of curved glass-like window.

Hey Dude, looks like an awesome build. If I could ask for your advice. I own a Chrysler 300C 2008, and I want to hook up an aftermarket amp to the existing deck. I know my 300 has an amp, and it doesn't have Sat/Nav. I've searched forums and I cannot find any information relating to the wiring or even a wiring diagram. Do you have any advice?
So while I'm waiting on new binding posts, let's paint this thing!!!
And guess what color I'm going to use?
I decided to match it to the same paint I used on my engine cover and in the bay...
What colour paint is that - I know its Blue :-) , but what is the actual name for it. I have a Blue theme in my SRT Design and want to paint my engine cover.
Thanks

Sorry man. I avoided that entire issue by going with an aftermarket headunit. But I assume it's not difficult. Your battery is in the trunk - so there is your power and ground. Fuse box is in the trunk - so there's your remote turn on wire (I think fuse 18, check earlier in this thread). So all you need is a signal for the amp. Some tap off of the rear speakers, but I've heard the front door speakers have a better signal range. Plenty of threads on here about that. Read down a bit and you'll see what to do here: FAQ - Audio Upgrades Good luck!

I love this stuff! It matches my BT blue pretty good and has a nice metallic fleck in it. Looks great in the engine bay when the hood is popped at meet-n-greets... sparkles in the sun just like the car's paint. It's just rattle cans of Rust-oleum Metallic. I think they make a few colors... but of course I stick with the BLUE.
About the only pic I could find right now with a little bit of sun hitting it...

Haha. Thanks man. I know the feeling. In due time, my friend. I've had mine for nearly four years and I'm NOW just getting around to the interior/audio stuff. And remember, the car's TO DO list only gets longer - never shorter. That just comes with this mod curse.
