Anyone install subs + amp in their 11-12 300 yet? Questions

Hello,

I have a base model 2012 300 with the touch screen Uconnect system. I don't know much about audio systems but I do recall that with my previous vehicles I had to have an aftermarket head unit in order to hook up a system.

Is it possible to just get an subwoofer system and just wire it up to the stock uconnect system? Will I retain all steering wheel controls?

Been lurking around for an answer but it seems like most people that are upgrading are the ones that already have the upgraded factory system. Mine is just the plain jane 4 speaker system with no factory sub or amp.

Please and thanks!

Jack

I have not touched my audio system (Beats by Dre). It's so interconnected to the rest of the electronics in my car, I'm hesitant to mess with anything. As it stands, in the last 9k miles, I've already had 2 major components of my sound system fail and need to be replaced.

I'm interested in buying a 2011 - 2013 model. I'm curious about peoples' after market speaker config as well. Either with stock nav or some aftermarket solution.

Thanks.
