I think we all need to raise hell with Chrysler. It's the only way it will be addressed. The Rep at SRT tried to help best as he could but without TSB there's not much they can do. It's definitely a design defect. The dealer put foam in the panel it helped but it still rattles with certain songs. I think my next step is a good sound shop.

I used a sound shop. He thought he fixed it. He didn't. It was brought back to him. He indicated the remaining rattle had something to do with the roof panel..I don't know what the hell he was talking about. Regardless, he could not fix it.

One thing that we can do is not recommend anyone purchase the Harmon Kardon option until Chyrsler comes up with a fix. That might get their attention. I've voiced my displeasure with the system on the SRT Face Book site. The more vocal we become the more embarrassing it gets for Chrysler. I'm at the opinion now that the Boston Acoustic stereo in my 2008 300 was a much better system and it didn't cost 2 grand.

Just found JetDrivers clip on youtube

Thank you Jetdriver for posting on you tube. Right now I am debating about which audio package to get on my new 300...that vibration (deck farting) is awful. So sorry about that...definitely a resonance issue...

Wonder if weighting the deck and dampening would help. But it sounds like others have tried and failed. wonder if anyone has found a solution yet?

Your welcome. That was taken after the second attempt of a dealer fix. I had in three times. They put foam in the panel but it still vibrates. Nothing like paying 2 grand and listening to a loud farting noise from the back panel. It's almost funny.

If you want to be a thorn in Chyslers side get on Facebook a raise the issue with the back panel rattle every chance you get. That's what I'm doing.

I just read some comments from that youtube posting and one caught my eye:

"The buzz comes from the roof on the rear. I noticed it when I was sitting in each seat of the car and found when I put my hand on the roof in the back the buzz is gone. The rear side of the roof is lose."

Has anyone tried this 'fix'? I am going to try a bit later on. If I discovery anything, I will advise.

Thanks Tom for posting that review. Your absolutely right. That review is spot on. I stumbled on that when my wife posted our video on U Tube. The only way this will ever be fixed is that we continue to pressure Chrysler. Complaining amongst ourselves will get us absolutely nowhere. I've voiced my displeasure on the SRT Facebook site. I did get some flack for doing that from other SRT owners. I don't care. Chyrsler's response so far has not been exactly stellar. After three times at the dealer for a fix. There response was " hey we tried three times" we're going to close it out and until there is a TSB were not going to do anything more. Sorry that's not acceptable in a 55K plus car.
