what navigator fits in what model? vs shape of the dashboard

Hello guys! ... hope you can help me

I have a 300c Touring -05 and I relly need to buy a new navigator.
There is a couple of them at ebay that I like but the problem is they dont have the same dashboard shape as my car.

My car has rectangle shape but without contours knobs.
It looks like this
┌───────────────────┐
..................................
..................................
..................................
└───────────────────┘

All the navigators I can find 2004-2007 has a shape like this with contours of knobs
┌───────────────────┐
..................................
(....................................)
..................................
└───────────────────┘

BUT, the navigators 2008 and above has just the rectangle shape as I want, but will it work in my car with all the functions?

is the radio a standard one?? or does it have a nav in already? it may have rec/rej in the bottom right, as the 2005 standard non nav radio had a contours like you have seen. do you have a little cubby whole under the a/c controls? as someone may have changer the radio before you bought it, and fitted a new bezel

measure the opening, if this 100mm tall and what an oem radio you could get a mygig,

Post a pic for us to see what you have

Yes, it's a standard with gps with a 6 CD changer.
The hole is 211x131 mm. (what size is that? 2x1/2 DIN?)
The best thing would be to find a full size navigator that fits the hole.
But how wold I know if it works with the steering wheels controls etc.

Im not allowed to post urls before I have 4 posts but if I do like this it maybe work for you

ok can fit a double dinn head unit, and get a filler piece to fill the gap, and you can get a wiring harness to keep the s/w controls

You can choose any double DIN radio with a mounting kit you want. What you pick determines what harness you will use to interface with the steering wheel controls.

No, the radio you choose does not need a specialized socket for the steering wheel controls. The adapter harness will provide the appropriate socket.
