Sorry I wasn't so clear... I meant the first interior stereo pic... looks like the passenger side bag is out... split dash and pink air bag and all! Lol.. must be an optical illusion! Lol.. looks like you've bought yourself a nice ride pal... I'm partial to 06 silver 300c's myself! Haha! Good luck on the stereo pal I will keep watching your progress!

Lol my mistake. That does look like an airbag. I forgot to take a before pic of the stock stereo. I found the first pic online of the factory stereo with the same bezel and everything.
Ahahaha! That makes sense! I was wondering! I couldn't help but think 'oh snap I hope this guy didn't just buy a surprise!' Glad that's an online pic! Lol.

My wife n I plasti-dipped my grill. I think it looks GREAT!
I pulled my box out and threw some carpet on it. I have NEVER carpeted a enclosure before. It looks pretty good
So I didint have enough carpet, it looks good from the front and back, but the sides and the bottom don't have much carpet. Lol. Luckily you can't really see the sides or bottom.
Finally got a SMD DD-1! If you don't know what it is, it's a new tool out to safely set your amp settings with, so you don't clip and fry subs. It takes the place of my old oscilloscope.
Since I don't turn the volume up as far as the deck goes without clipping I was able to get a lil bit more out of the amp. Sounds good by I was in a rush so I have some more tunning to do.
So today I decided to seal my box off from the trunk. I don't want to do anything to damage the car, so here is what I did.
I made the templates with cardboard
Cut them from 3/4" MDF, attached some rubber to the edges that would be against the trunk and painted.
Mounted
.
Before
After
I did notice a little increase by ear, and it shook my center console more then before. Not a huge gain, but worth the scrap pieces of wood and the hour it took to complete
.also waiting for a order from Sky High. 50' 1/0, fuse holders and ring terminals. can't wait
Ok, so my last car is gone, new car is here. So ready to start a new build. Here is the new car, a 2006 Chrysler 300c.
Lot more trunk space then the Mustang.
So first thing I did was fina a K&N Cold Air Intake. Looks good and made a huge difference with the sound of the engine.
So the stock stereo is a Boston Acustic 6 speaker system. It leaves a lot to be desired. Since the head unit is only about a din and a half, I had to order a new dash bezel to make the opening large enough for my double din.
When the dash bezel came in, UpS was not too nice to it.
Luckily, the bezel was ok and not damaged.
This is the newest car I have owned, and the most complicated wiring.
The instructions were like a phone book in a foreign language
I was able to get the deck in, works great, looks awesome. So the new deck helps a lot with the stock speakers. The settings help the speakers get louder, and sound crisper.
Waiting for install:
Optima yellow top
Stinger batt
Lots of 1/0
I have a Memphis Mojo 4k and 4 DC 8"s that Will prolly be installed temporarily. I have to call DC about some larger subs and maybe a DC 3.5k.
