Is it possible to replace the rear kicker with a different sub .... Some guy gave me a 10" cvr for jump starting his car last night.... I tried and i know it wont.fit in stock enclosure...but my question is can i use the same leads that connect the stock kicker for the cvr and still get good bass???? Thanks... I like the stock sound but a little more bass would be nice... Just dont want to start getting into new amps/wiring... Rather waste money on engine or exterior mods.... Thanks agian....

Hmm good question ,i saw some where ,wher they went and used a solarbaric sub but i can't recall if they had to upgrade the stock amp.( i suck at this by the way)
Where and how can i search for this answer......oh yeah just double checked and it's a 12"... Weak....well how hard is it to add an amp to my stock system?????
Was thinking of doing something like this....speaker minted on back small fold down and amp and capacitor on Big fold down....will i loose allot of bass by not using a speaker box????? How do i add an amp..please help...

I know chrysler sells an upgraded amp for the 300 ,they have a much larger 2 speaker sub box that you can get, as for the bass i would say yes , but as i said earlier i suck at this. lol
I thought the Kicker system came with a separate sub amp. If so replacing the amp to run the 12" would be the best way to do this. I'm sure the 12" will require a lot more power than the stock kicker sub amp can provide. If you don't have the separate amp , as in the BA system with the 8" sub driven by the front amp, you'll need the sub amp for sure.
You can try to mount the sub like you've shown but it will not sound as good as your stock setup. The bass will be sloppy and not hard and tight. A tuned enclosure is really the best way to go.

I did a very similar thing in my GT500. I removed the stock subs (Shaker 1000 has x2 10" subs that SUCK, replaced with a single 10" Kicker and got twice the bass!) and the stock amp but used the same wiring. I used a line convertor and it sounded great. I guess in this case, it's just a question of where to mount the new sub. I would just get a form-fitting box that is made to fit in the trunk of a 300.
