2011 Backup Camera System on 1 2008 300C SRT8?

I was on the dealers lot and saw the 2011 rear backup camera installation. Is there any way to put it on my 2008 300C SRT8 with an RER radio? Thanks, Bob.

Hi. OK Thanks. Someone told me the 2012's are mounted on the trunk lid. Is that correct? Regards, Bob.

Bob.
That's the original thread that I started but then this one popped up. So I jumped on this one.

BUT...

Today I was thinking about this and if the push button could even be workable with our trunks. So I went out to the 300C and sat in the driver seat with the doors closed and armed the alarm which locks everything and then pushed the truck button under the dash to see if we could tap in to that wire for the button in the rear light and nothing happened. The trunk didn't open. Which is good because if the alarm is set and someone push's the button on the third brake light to open the trunk it won't work untill the alarm is disabled.

So the last thing to figure out is if the dimensions of the 2012 and 2008 third brake lights are the same? Is anyone a dealer or a Chrysler Tech that would have access to these parts?

Great find on the button. I was wondering how it worked. It looks like all we need to do is tap into the 22ga. vt/tn wire and send it to the new trunk switch ungrounded side and ground the other side of the switch. If you get the dimensions please let us all know. I can't believe the prices though. The P/N 57010606AC Lamp, Center High Mounted Stop Light with camera is $564 list. The P/N 56054058AD or AE camera by itself is only $52. Bob.

I called Tucson Jeep Chrysler today and the guy in the parts department was quick to say "Nope, the new body style is all new parts, shapes, sizes." BUT until I'm next to a new 300 with a tape measure I'm not going to believe it.
