F/S 1988 Lincoln Town Car $5,500 obo

i've got a 1988 lincoln town car with 32,500 origional miles on it. i bought it from my best friend's grandmother. her husband (who is now departed) bought the vehicle brand new in 1988. i have the dealership delivery paperwork, temporary insurance, all years insurance cards, all registrations, all emissions, and most of the repair documented. i also have the full factory service manual.

the previous owner (who is now in her early 80s), had a catalytic converter put on it, had some electrical work done for the back windows, tires, and the usual oil change.

since i've owned it (3 years) i've put less than 3,000 miles on it. it lives in a garage and i baby it. i've replaced the water pump, all belts, hoses, fluids, filters, throttle position sensor, heater core, exhaust (custom dual setup, i got a dual kit that's supposed to be for an 85 and adapted it to fit this 88), calipers, brake pads, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, all new speakers, sony flipface cd player, battery, pair of 10 inch subs, amplifier, all new stereo wiring, LEDs in the vents, streetglow undercar neons, exterior fender flares (from TFP), crushed velvet interior accents, 7.2 inch legacy flatscreen tv, audiovox power inverter, ps2 with 2 controllers, new spare...

i've got some spare parts for this vehicle that i'll include in the sale. i've got various emblems, spare oil filters, a car cover, a spare front corner lens, trunk lock cover, and all the stock stereo parts. i've got the old heater core, water pump, hoses, and plugs too.

now for the bad stuff: it needs a driver's side tail pipe hanger, the back windows don't work, and the heat isn't hooked up. i put in the new heater core, but never reconnected the heater hoses. i left it that way so i wouldn't drive it in the winter, to keep the miles low. the AC stopped working after i installed the heater core. i think i probably left one of the vacuum lines undone or something simple like that. i havn't troubleshooted it. there is a small dent, baseball sized, in the passenger front fender where it meets the header pannel. the woman i bought it from had a run-in with a bmw 5 series. she didn't go through insurance and i have the police report from the incident.

clear title ready to be signed. $5,500 or best offer. i've shown this vehicle 3 times and its allways a crowd pleaser.

i would hold onto it, but i just bought a chrysler 300.
