Corporal's Mods - UPDATE!!!

Ok, this has been loooooooong overdue. Last anyone knew, I had just painted my calipers red with the help of my lovely girlfriend, Nida. Well, I set up a log on my website (I'll update that as well) but it's currently down for some maintenance (that and it lags my online gaming, lol). Hopefully tommorrow will be nice and I can snap some pics of the mods I've done in the past few months.

Without further ado...

Here's how you saw my baby last:

Note the Red Calipers, at this point my only mod was a K&N Aircharger and DeerRam HEMI engraved billet shifter.

Someone once requested a pic of them in the sun so here it is... yes my car is dirty, cleanup is next weekend for the outside, this weekend for the inside

Pic of the K&N CAI... this mess is what I'm trying to get cleaned up today.

Since then I've had my tails tinted by the talented lunkinva with the clears taped out. Oh, he also hooked up the side markers, but we need to redo those (used the wrong clear, now they look red when on). Also picked up some tinted license plate covers to complete the blacked out look in the rear.

Yes, I know my car is dirty. Here's the tinted sidemarkers

Tails that lukeinva tinted for me (if you look closely under the tails you can see the scuff from my accident)

Added airbag cover decals from streamlinedesign (silver chrysler logo on black), VERY cheap mod but I get a ton of compliments on them.

I installed my ultimate pedals. I have all 4 pedals, shiny smooth with domed grip inserts. I had HEMI engraved on the dead pedal and brake. Today I painted the silver screws flat black and also painted the engraving flat black. Made a world of difference.

Here's a pic of them without the domed grip inserts. I guess I didn't take any of them installed before I painted them.

Amazing what some flat black paint can do... got a few scratches on them now and need to shine them up a little better.

I've made mention of it briefly, but I had a failed attempt at installing AAC Halos on my headlights and fogs. It's way harder than it looks, just send it to Justin. I've since decided against the fog halos and I still need to replace the fog light I butchered during that install. $500 later (thanks to BMFSRT) I have new headlights that will be sent out next monday to Justin to get headlight halos installed the right way. I'm very very very excited about this mod as I haven't seen it on any 300 around here yet

Luke and I working on getting my headlights off, that's his ride in the background.

My car with the front end ripped off...

Ever wonder what your headlight would look like in an oven? Now you don't have to! You don't realize how huge these things are until you get them off of your car! Cracking the seal was a royal pain in the ass.

I got them put together... but no way did I feel like I could trust them, so I bought a new set to get done right.

I bought some steath bulbs from a forum member for the front headlights, I'm not missing the "egg yolk" one bit.

Forgot to take pic this morning... will update this afternoon
(insert pic)

Heidi from Billet Technology was kind enough to thank me for my service to our great Nation by sending me for free a satin billet shifter overnight, for free. I've thanked her by ordering almost everything she's made for our cars so far

My absolutely AMAZING girlfriend got me an OEM SRT-8 spoiler for my car. She even got the right color! I love it and she does too. Her reason for getting it: "out of all the stuff on your list, that was the only one that I knew what it was. Plus everytime you pointed it out on an SRT-8 I thought it looked really good too." Ain't she a peach?

Also notice the tinted plate cover, all that's missing from the rear end is some huge exhaust pipes.

I ordered the rear stealth bulbs from Aarron at Steath Auto because the egg yolk through the clear parts of my tails is driving me insane. I also ordered the 300C valve stem caps. Those can't get here soon enough because the idiots at Craven Tire put a green cap on when I got my new tire mounted... it's an eyesore.

Monday or tuesday I should take delivery of Billet Technology door pin bezel covers, mirror control bezel cover, and window switch covers, all in satin. Spoke with Heidi (we have spoken almost daily since they've come to the forums) and she's trying to get me the lock covers, oil cap, and power steering cap and cover in time for the HHP/402 unveiling next sunday.

Also, before next sunday I'm going to do a little color matching under the hood. I'm going to paint all the flat black plastic pieces under the hood (it just hit me, I probably didn't buy enough paint so I'll start with the engine cover and CAI) to color match my car. I've also just ordered a mirror chrome set of Mopar logo and K&N logo stickers to go on my CAI. Not sure if I'm gonna use one or the other, or both, but we'll see. This will be my first attempt at doing something like this, so if I show up with no engine cover, you know why, lol.

I'll post new replies with updates to the above that doesn't have a "(insert here)" notation.

To summarize:

Done:
K&N Cold Air Intake
Red Calipers
HEMI Engraved Ultimate Pedals with Engraving Painted Black
Tinted Side Markers
Tinted Taillights with Clear Stripes
Stealth Bulbs for Headlights
SRT OEM Spoiler
Billet Technology (BT) Satin Shifter

Will be done in the next 2 weeks:
BT Satin Window Switch Covers
BT Satin Lock Covers
BT Satin Oil Cap Cover
BT Satin Power Steering Cap and Cover
BT - anything else for under the hood I can get my hands on
Stealth Bulbs for Tail Lights
Stealth Auto 300C Valve Stem caps
Stealth Auto 300C Business Card Holder
Color Matched Engine Cover
Color Matched CAI with Mopar and/or K&N Chrome Decal
Polished Engine Shroud Cover
Color Matched Plastic Engine Compartment Parts
AAC Halos
22 Elite Console Cover

To be done before the big meet in May:
Tint
Exhaust
SRT Door Pulls
Get rid of the turtle shell on the steering wheel somehow.
???

Hope that catches everyone up! I'll try not to wait so long next time!

Looks like a good list of mod's you got going on there. Big props to your girl for understanding your need to mod, and getting you an awesome Christmas gift.

Post pictures of the billet goodies that we sent ya. I know how they look in mine and Ken's car, I can't wait to start seeing them on others. I have been getting many emails from owners showing me their cars and I'm super happy. Back to the game. At least the Boys got the score at the end of the half. I told you about Patrick Crayton yes???

Nice summary, and whets the appetite for the pictures to come! I, myself, am waiting on rear Stealth bulbs and a pedals package from Aaron.

Thanks everyone... I swear if it's not totally disgusting out when I wake up I'll snap some pics and get them up here.

I'm very happy to where my car has come in the last 3 months or so, and I'm very excited about upcoming 4. This is the first car I've really put mods in and I still have alot left to do.

This is my first new car and I plan on keeping her if I can, so I've got nothing but time to finish her up.

Well you can certainly tell you take a great deal of pride in your ride as well as the work you do on your ride. New cars are the bomb since no one’s owned it but you…..you were the first to fart in her seats….as someone else so crudely pointed out in another thread.

Now that you know the secret of the 500 hp mod the skies the limit for you…..there will be no stopping CPL ladies and gentleman!

Wow..very nice CPL . It is always an absolute joy to read your stuff . Always positive .Loving that you are loving (and personalizing ) your ride .This is what it is all about .Sounds like you were lucky enough to find the right girl also . Billet Technology has also made some great posts since joining up and really jumped into this forum with both feet . The shifter knob gesture was a class act........ -Mike .
