Post Chrysler 300C Announced as Safety Car for Aussie V8 Supercars races

Hot off the local media presses

Safety first

"Chrysler's 300C Large car is to lead the V8 Supercar field during safety car periods this year under a sponsorship arrangement. The retro looking 300C which uses Mercedes mechanicals, will lead the racers as a means of promoting the important new model, which arriveshere later this year to compete with the Holden Statesman and Ford Fairlane."

In the past couple of years they used an Audi A6. I will try an get photos, ASAP and if I am lucky maybe it will be used for the V8 Supercars races at next month's Formula 1 here in Melbourne.

I just spoke to my Friendly Chrysler dealer and he provided this link to an online article with pictures, (although not the actual safety car & by the look of it SRT-8):

Now that's neat. I love watching the V8 super cars series.

Hemi57, could you post a pic of the Holden Statesman and the Ford Fairlaine so we can see the Chrysler 300 competition "down under"?
