Convertable in 2007?

Have you all seen this in the April issue of Motor Trend, page 24? The article says Chrysler is close to giving the nod for 2007 production. It'll add 300 lbs. and $4,000 to the MSRP.

Gang,
I hope that if they do it, they do it as a 2 door.

ONLY $4,000? For the amount of modifications done that would be a real bagain! I could see the dealers asking more

I like it

How often do you see a four-door convertible though? It might be something really original. I kind of like the idea. I think it keeps in line with harkening back to the old days when cars were big and roomy. I posted in another forum that I love the cars 'cause they remind me of the 60's Lincoln Continetals. Back then the convertibles were four-door. You could bring your whole crew in one of those, let everyone enjoy the ride. I'll be seriously concidering trading up if they do come out with one.

The car won't have the appeal that it does now. The side profile is what makes this
car look like no other. That 50's Gangster look that this car has will be lost and i think
won't be looker. convertable's are for girls anyway !

Well here's your coupe. http://www.autothing.com/funthings/S...00%20Coupe.htm
I have no idea where it came from.

The 4-door convertible that's being shown is from ASC (American Specialty Cars), which appears to make production ready spin-offs for auto makers.
http://www.seriouswheels.com/top-2005-ASC-Helios.htm or
http://www.ascglobal.com/ or
http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=104595
(after reading last one this I'm thinking the SoCal club should try to arrange for a meet at ASC or for ASC to come out and show their car with us.... hmm..)
