Don't take this in any way but positive criticism.

But I don't know why some of you mount nitrous bottles in such dangerous places. There is no good support in that area and if you get in some type of a bad accident those things are going to be in the side of your head. And if by any chance there is someone in the back seat....forget it.

Is that a fuel tank mounted in the middle? Also, is there a blow down line on the nitrous bottles? If that is a fuel tank, and there are not blow down tubes you will not be allowed on any track. Tech inspection will flag you right off the bat.

Where did you mount your bottle?
I`ve used nitrous on my cars for years now. Been to the strip several times. This is not my first rodeo.
But you do have a good point tho, I think they would look better under the hood anyway.

Under the hood?

Below is a photo from my install before it was complete. Now it has other hold downs and reinforcements, but you get the idea and the spare tire is not as important as getting those bottles very secure and in a position they cannot come forward. The spare tire area is re-inforced perfectly and even has a forward bar for collapsing purposes.

The bottle/s is safe there...I know as I am an engineer. That gas tank you have mounted...I don't know what you are doing with that. I do know that your current set up will not be passed by any track, trust me. Look up the guide for n20 set up for NHRA and you will quickly see they take it very serious.

Good luck in your quest.

usually, you have to have a line hooked up to each tank so if it blows, it'll expel the gasses OUTSIDE of the vehicle.

although the setup shown by the original poster looks awesome, i agree that it probably won't be track-worthy. very car show-worthy, but probably not cool at the track.

that board that its bolted to just lifts out, its not even held down by anything. if you roll it over or crash, you're probably in trouble.

hmmm...my first post in a while and all I can say is "common sense combine with knowledge and wisdom" will take you a long way in life....safety first..speed later...unmounted nitrous, nice explosion..see you later lol...nice tank set up but I suggest you error on the side of caution as stated by the tracksters who've chimed in great advice.
