Fourteen SRT8 owners are heading to legendary Laguna Seca Raceway on the 19th of November for the SRT Track Experience. This day of driving instruction, conducted by the Skip Barber Driving School, was included in the purchase price of these high performance LX cars.
The participants are comming from 3 US states and one Canadian Province and are members of several LX realted internet forums. The group will be stayig at the Embassy Suites on Monterey Bay. The management has extended a special room rate for the group and will be reserving a secure, lighted area for the Magnums and 300 SRT cars.
On Frday the 18th there will be a Meet-N-Greet at the hotel. One of the group members is from Napa and will be supplying wine from that area. A few supporting suppliers have donated to a drawing to wibe held over the weekend. Zoomers exhaust systems has donated a 25% off coupon for a Zoomers exhaust system and
www.perfectautofinish.com has donated a denim hat and several discount coupons for their products. There are some other suppliers that expected to particpate as well.
We also have a special guest coming all the way from the Brampton Assembly Plant in Canada. Most of us know him by his screen name, "speckler". Ralph oversaw the web site
http://www.bramptonassembly.com/ where many of us tracked the build of our cars. Ralph now has his own site where new owners can still track their cars build @
http://www.mylxinfo.com/. Ralph has donated T-Shirts for everyone participating that weekend.
Although Nov. 19th is sold out for the "SRT Track Experience" day, there is still room for anyone that wants to join in. You can do the track experience part on Friday the 18th or on Sunday the 20th.
There will be a "SRT-17 Mile Cruise" planned for Sunday AM, Nov. 20th and maybe some a dinner/cruise Saturday night. Plans are still being made at this writing.
All in all it should be a great weekend at a legendary track with a great group of LX enthusiasts. Anyone interestd in joining in can contact Kenny King @
