Early in this thread there was mention of the ME-412 and the Firepower; I understand that the ME-412 was scrapped, just was a concept vehicle. The Firepower the last I heard still had a chance of making production.

Now what am i suposed to do. I wanted a new V rod from harley but now its looks like the new Challanger will ship in November? is this true!?!? Please please let it be true............. Ugh choices choices......... Ok this is easy the challanger..................... Anyone hear a possible MSRP yet? any guesses?

Isn't a Firepower nothing but a Crossfire with some tweaks? (Didn't research it that much)

The Firepower is nothing like a Crossfire.

I saw the Firepower at Barrett Jackson last week. I opened the hood for all the world to see the 6.1 with the awesome carbon fiber intake. It was really dusty in the engine compartment so one of the staff closed the hood a while later.

The Firepower is built on the Viper chassis, with the 6.1 and 5 speed autostick (just like an SRT-8) and has softer suspension (than a Viper) and more creature comforts (like a 300C SRT-8). It will not bake and bounce you like a Viper: It's more civilized! Top speed is reportedly 175 mph. With the same drivetrain as an SRT-8 and much better aerodynamics, it shuold be closer to 180 mph!

And my sources say: Yes, they are going to build it!

BTW The Dodge Nitro was there too. The official announcement that they are building the Nitro will be at the February Chicago Auto Show!
