Hello Mr. Ralph Gilles,

My name is Jeremy and I am actually the Club300 (National Club) elected President and Club300 Director for OH / KY.

I picked up my Black SRT-8 this week. I have an opportunity to go to Detroit on Tuesday, March 22nd and would be incredibly honored if you would sign my newest life long Love. My wife says it's ok, she knows my love for this car would never replace my love for her. But they pace each other pretty good.

Please let me know if you will be around Detroit next week and if not, I would be willing to break the car in to get to the magic 6000 miles that much quicker, just to meet with you, even briefly to have you grace my SRT-8 with your sig.

Sincerely,

Jeremy

Congratulations!!!

Well, I can meet you at 11:45 Tuesday the 22nd. Can you make it to Auburn Hills. I can't believe you are willing to drive that far! I can meet you infront of the Chrysler Muesum...I am sure you know where it is. I should have my Silver 300 SRT we can take pictures!

Unfortunately I only have a half hour as I have a host of meetings that day.

I would be honored to meet you.

Do you have the all season tires or the summer tires? Please watch the weather! The all seasons are actually great in the snow the summers scary! Hot tip keep the wheels waxed..it makes it easier to clean the wheels as the pads are fairly aggressive hence a little dusty.

Okay,

I just happen to be in Detroit!!!!!
I would also like the opprotunity to have you sign my car.
This is akin to having a great artist or author personally sign one of their masterpieces!

So the Chrysler Museum in Aurburn Hills, Michigan @ 11:45 on 22 March 2005??
anything else that needs to be done??

I'm there, w/camera and perm. marker with me!

I actually have the option of going to a business meeting in Detroit town Tuesday from 9am to 1pm. If I go, I wouldn't be able to make that time frame!!! AAAHHHH, the agony.

Also, I just checked the Weather Forecast. Rain/Snow Showers are predicted!!! I got the AS tires, but never really wanted to drive this baby in the snow. Can I literally take a rain check for the next warm and clear sky sunny week? I am sure Tekhen would want to wait as well for the right weather. I don't want to inconvenience you and most certainly appreciate your willingness to take time out of your busy schedule to meet with us enthusiasts. I'll send you a PM as well. Please let me know if this works for you.

I do not blame you they salt like crazy up hear. Yes with that sort of weather it is best to call it off. We can perhaps do something next month.

Good Luck,

RG

How about that. A GTV as well. That car just looked good from every angle. Felt good inside as well. And, for its time, very advanced in the performance dept.

The 300 series is the same. And the appeal of the design is to such a wide demographic. Somehow I don't see this design being thrown away in 5 years - just evolving - like the 'vette and the jags. What say you?

WOW...RG.

That is so cool! I am amazed that you are willing to take time out of your day to meet with those who can make it to Detroit and then sign their cars. I wish I could be so lucky!

Alas, I am snowed in over here in the frozen wasteland of WI and will not be able to make the trip. However, if you ever come to Milwaukee or Green Bay...please let us know. I would love to meet you and have you sign my BB 300C.

I think it would only be fitting to meet the man who officially inspired my "Mid-Life Crisis". This beautiful piece of machinery is my way of recapturing some of my lost youth, while still being enveloped in the luxury and safety someone my age requires. It gives to me that "soul" that you have refered to. Not only is it in the car...but it is re-ignited in me. Your vision has made this possible and I salute you.

Again, if you ever come to Green Bay, let me know and I'll treat you to lunch at Curly's Pub at Lambeau Field.

Yes, April would definately be better weather wise. I just sent that PM, so take a look and let me know directly what your thoughts are.

Best regards.

Not too Conservative

RG61 - Welcome to the forum, it is truly a privilege having you aboard.

I'd like to answer one of your questions from my point-of-view regarding whether the srt8 was too conservative: It was exactly what I was looking for.

I told my wife a couple of years ago that I am holding off buying a new car until someone offers a fullsize sedan that has some ponies under the hood. I have been driving GM cars for the last 20 years and have been very happy with them and I am currently driving a 1996 Firebird formula. I broke away from GM last week and ordered a Silver SRT8.

My hope was to buy a fullsize luxury car that can perform too when needed. The SRT8 fits the bill, though almost out of my price range, which many of us buyers have experienced. I suspect the ride is going to be a little stiffer than I would like, but you can't have everything. Any way in the future to have adjustable suspension? .

One question for you: Would you recommend the AS tires over the F1's? I don't necessarily need the AS tires since I live in Georgia, but travel back to MI to visit family a couple of times a year. I am starting to hear very bad press on the F1 stock tires on this forum.

You hit a homerun with the 300C and the SRT8 is the icing on the cake. I'm personally sick of the super conservative cars that your competitors are putting out. The 300C and SRT8 is a breath of fresh air. Congratulations!!
