Funny, I was just going to comment on how that story was inspiring and I kept reading the thread and its possible the designer is now a member here? Cool.

Perhaps an radical option could be added for special color and hood scoops for us gear heads heads from the early 70's. Either way long live the 300c and SRT8

I see a lot of Black and silver out here. I was in Florida last week for the Amelia Island show...afterwards we drove down to my mom's pad in Boca. Me and my wife and kids played count the 300s over a three day period. We counted 43 300s...a good 18-20 were cool vanilla and about 28 Magnums mostly graphite. All you cars nuts have turned these cars into block busters! It really inspires us to continue kicking butt. I am also glad to say we just started shipping SRT8's...my forum name is my ride...R G 6.1....

Hey question, do you guys like the subtle look of the SRT8 or do you think we were too conservatvie?

I was thinking about changing all my oil to color purple including the trans and rear end. I heard on the hot rod show that would add additional 4-7 horses on my 300c?

No worries we test to some serious extremes. The car has lot of cooling capacity and is actually very effecient at what may seem like "hot" temps. Most modern cars are designed to run relatively hot for many reasons. Some emissions related other performance related.

The Mobil One can handle significant heat. No concern at all. The boys at SRT had concerns about making that data available as they didn't want owners to agonize over numbers. So please don't worry about it.

I like the subtle hints of what lies beneth the hood. I knew I wanted a 300 when they came out, but when I read the news about the SRT8 I HAD to have one. The fact that there is no big airplane wing bolted to the trunk and no blaring badges or garish plastic cladding made it all the more appealing.

We've seen the photos (dtd 2000) and wonder oh so very much about itz role in your fantastic success story that is the 300C.

Just found this thread myself . Guess my head was in the sand !!! WOW.... what a regular guy he (RG) seems to be !! I guess without his (and teams) unique vision we wouldn't be enjoying our very special ride's . My SRT-8 is the best bang for the buck car I've owned to date.........BAR NONE !!! Love the understated design........ letting the 425hp do all the talking was pure genious !! Ralph , and his design team , are probably the most important thing to happen to Chrysler since Lee Iococca. Kudos to whomever allowed his vision to become reality !!
