Need avatar help

Can any of you computer whizzes help me with my attempt to place an avatar with my user name? I am getting a message that the photo I selected exceeds the maximum size, however, I don't know how to shrink it. Any info would be greatly appreciated. If I placed this request for info in the wrong place, I apologize in advance. Thanks, Ron

If using WindowsXP, Open the .jpg (image file) with "Windows Image and Fax Viewer" (right click on the file name, select open with, choose "Windows Image and Fax Viewer"). When open right click on the image and select "resize pictures" select the "advanced" button , select "custom" and enter 100 by 100, then hit the "OK" button. This will save a smaller version of the picture in the same folder. Point the avitar loader to this file as you did before. Should work, hope this helps.

I might try this myself, I have XP but I use a program called Paint shop Pro to easily change image sizes on my C drive. I think you can use a program on your hard drive, e.g. Dell expert Image and do the same thing. Check under "all programs" on your computer and see what is loaded on there for photo/image mods.
