Polished calipers would look good, but would be a chore to keep clean. That, or you could have them painted silver. I think that would match the black well.

Twenty's

I'm rolling on 20 x 8.5 Lorenzo's O5 surrounded by Toyo's 255/45/20 tires, with painted calipers matching body color (Cool Vanilla) and I simply Love them.

Stock 18s with Blizzak WS-50 235/55/18s for the winter. Thinking about 20" for summer though! Angi's setup is HOT!

Love the rims! how does it ride with the bigger sidewall? can you even tell you're not on the stocks? I'll be rolling the new TIS 06 22's once my car is here. Kinda glad I don't have it yet, We got 8inches of snow last night, windchill of -25 and high winds causing alot of drifting snow, I had almost a 2foot drift behind my grand prix today in my driveway....took me about a half hour to dig out so I Could go to work. LOL. I love my grand prix in the snow though, its a FWD Beast.

I'm runnning the stock 18" Dodge Magnum RT wheels in the summer with 245/55-18 BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDWS tires. These are several pounds lighter than the stock wheels and tires. Much better handing and braking than the Continental tires.

In the winter, I'm running the stock 18" 300C wheels with 235/60-18 Pirelli Scorpion snowtires.

Dave, I'm running the same winter set up with the Pirellis. I am trying to figure out my summer setup (which will not include the contis) A couple of questions:

How much lighter is the R/T BF combo vs stock?

How do you rate the Pirelli vs the BF for handling; stopping; comfort and noise?

When I had the same stock tires on the 300C and the Magnum RT wheels, the weight difference was 3 pounds less per wheel. The RT wheels & tires were lighter. I have not had a chance to weigh the RT wheels with the 245/55-18 BFG g-Force KDWS tires, nor have I weighed the Pirelli Scorpion snow tire/300C stock wheel combo.

I'm not even sure it makes sense to compare the two tires. The Pirelli are dedicated winter tires with very poor lateral grip, long braking distances, and are easy to light up (or engage traction control) when you step on the gas. These are all normal attributes of a winter tire. They seem to be noisier than the stock Conti tires, but those "grand touring" tires are quickly fading into a distant memory. They are pretty good in the snow, although if I lived further north, I would probably go for the 235-55-18 Blizzak WS-50 snow tires instead. These Pirelli tires didn't do so well in this morning's icy commute.

The BFG g-Force KDWS tires make a huge difference in terms of braking, they have better turn-in repsponse and much more lateral grip. Compared to stock tires, they are just as quiet, if not more so. These are the tires the car should have come with.

Thanks, Dave for the detailed reply. I've heard nothing but good things about the The BFG g-Force KDWS tires mounted on the 300C.
