Owned (too?)many Mopars through the years. (Actually... not enough Mopars)... 60's cars to the 00's... I'll answer both subjectively & objectively... Subjectively: YES (It's A Mopar, of course)... Objectively: YES the car is better than I expected

hell no, never again. avg 11mpg with a 5.7. now thats crazy. the sticker said 20mpg. well you figure gas around here is $3.00. it takes about $45.00 to fill her up. I fill it up about twice a week. now that $90.00 a week. But with me only avg 11mpg, i would have to pay about double to get the 20mpg. so therefore i am paying $6.00 a gallon for gas. So i would actually be spending about $180.00 a week on gas. now there are 52 weeks in a year, so thats $25.00 a day in gas. so 25x365= $9125.00 a ****ing year on gas alone. I mean ****, i use to love the car, but i might as well get a Bentley. If im gonna pay that much for gas i might as well go all out, or get one of those electric cars coming out and just let the car pay for itself. Think about it. Oh and yeah, i am an accountant.

11 mpg avg. with a 5.7 Hemi? With my 5.7 C and my 5.7 Maggie I get over 25 mpg on the highway and about 18-20 mpg around town. I average 19 mpg with my CSRT8!

Something's seriously wrong with the maintenance or tuning of your car, William.

Rethink that logic

The whole logic/formula you use is flawed in my opinion

Price per tank and tanks per week will almost always be inacurate when
figuring annual fuel cost.

Using a factor of 2 to account for 11mpg instead of the EPA 20mpg doesn't seem intuitive to me either

Why not just take

Estimated Miles per Year
and divide by MPG (11)
= Gallons per year

Then multiply Gallons per year by your est price per gallon ($3)
to get your annual fuel cost

I'm not gonna try to back out miles per year from your calculations but even if you do 15,000 miles/year
your annual fuel cost is a whopping

15,000/11*3 $4,090

This is high for a 300c ..... Even for my SRT I calculated under $3,000

I do doubt that you get only 11mpg unless something wrong has been done to the mechanics..... check into it

I get about the same as Northern Rider in my 300C. Somethings wrong with your car or you are driving in real gridlock, stop and go traffic.

And maybe for good reasons. I have owned 8 Japanese cars over 30 years and have only had two major problems (blown engine and bad AC system). The reliability, quality/fit & finish have been great. My wife has always had American cars, in the 20 years we have been together, and I know she has had more problems with hers than mine. The interior fit/finish on the Japanese cars I have had are superior to the Chrysler. This is not as big an issue as mechanicals, but I can see why CR does rate imports over Amercian cars. I know that American cars have come a long way since the 80s/90s, but I belive they are still behind the Japanese/German car manufacturers. I have just invested at least 3 years in a Chrysler, and I sure hope this is a great experience, as I would love to get a 300C as my next car.

I've only owned NA Vehicles and perhaps I've been lucky, but I've rarely had any major issues with any of them..Ive had Camaro's, Firebird, Ford Galaxy, Pontiac GTO, Montana Mini Van, Chevy Cobalt, Olds Cutlass, Chevy Malibu...

Tires and brakes mufflers and general maintanence issues. One blown head gasket (On my Malibu wagon with 265,000MILES)

And really...most people DONT keep a car longer than 5 years anyway, now a days!

I'm reserving judgement until my power steering woes are over. Right now I am giving serious thought to getting rid of my car if I can't trust it.

Of course I would

No hesitation on buying another. This time around I would get the back seat entertainment. Has anyone ever dropped something like a ring under the console? Need to know how to get in there to look for my ring.
