I voted - Yes - if I can find a better service department

So far my Magnum has been spot on and I drive the crap out of it. 30k miles in a year and its had preformed perfectly.

I have had a few small issues, Trans leak, Rear end Leak, Dead Nav, Dead Rear Window, slight idle stumble.

My problem has been withteh 3 shops I have used :

Shop 1 : Awsome Server Managers, retard techs
Shop 2 : Stupid Service writer, 1 decent tech and several tards
Shop 3 : I dropped off the car, saw the guy getting into it and going through the center console and glove box. Got the SM and picked the car up without getting the work done, no idea what happened to the tech.

Some of the answers I get to stuff like the idle stumble I get in traffic and have had since day one, Tech wrote "Aftermarket Exhaust and intake causing problem" HE didnt even street drive the car or hook up the starscan to check the TPS voltage, the PPS voltage or anything else. Needing 2 weeks to get a new Nav, Charging me for Dianostic work after i had already got that done and gave them the new sensor to install and recal my air bags.

While thee are not huge issues it just shows a general lack of giving a crap aboutthe customer.

I love my LX, but if the Service Depts dont get thier crap straight I would not buy again.

My wife and I just picked up our first 300C over the weekend. Absolutely LOVE the car. We did a 39-month lease on it and have already decided that when the lease is up, we'll either buy the car outright or lease a new one again.

Does anyone know what, exactly, Consumer Reports said about the car that made it "unreliable?"

Love the performance! Love the look! But still wondering about the ticking noise coming from engine bay. Can't be exhaust, changed all that.

Welcome daveandseig Congratulations on taking delivery of your new baby. I did not read the Consumer Report myself as it would be irrelevant here in Australia. Someone will no doubt drop by and answer that one for you.

Welcome to you too Daddy Kool . That clicking noise you are hearing is normal for the Hemi. Most members reckon it is the lifters and certainly for me it was more conspicuous when the motor was cold (but then that was usually in my garage where the noise was more easily heard).

Thumbs up Yes

24K on my 2005 300C, nothing to report but oil changes and some weird computer UAs (when in doubt, reboot!) like the parking brake light coming on (several times in 2 plus years) without the brake having been engaged......nothing but fun.....if I ever wear this one out, I'll probably consider another.

Thanks for the welcome, Hemi57! I look forward to finding all about our new vehicle here and other sites devoted to the 300. You might say we're Chrysler fanatics. Traded in my PT Cruiser (3rd one of those I've had) on the 300. Wife has a Crossfire that we'll probably be trading in for a new Aspen. Just found out we're going to have a baby in July and we need vehicles that are a bit more conducive for hauling a family.

Wow, congratulations on the pending arrival in July.

We won't get the Aspen here in Australia and unfortunately get a limited range of Chrysler & Dodge models here.

Be sure to check out the "EVIC Easter Egg" thread, which is a sticky in the General section. That will give you a bit of entertainment.

I LOVE my 2005 300C AWD. I also drive a BMW 540i, so I have a quality car to compare it to. The interior is beautiful, and the exterior is too. I have the chrome mirrors, bumper trim, etc. and think it looks very classy on a black car. The seats could be a bit more supportive, but are still very comfortable. I think the Nav system is fine, and have never thought otherwise. Quite frankly, I'm VERY impressed with the technology present in a car of this price. Bluetooth, hands free, voice activated everything. The only thing that should be updated is a built-in Ipod interface. Also, a little too much body roll, but still a very capable performer. I'm comparing it to a $60,000 sporty BMW, so there are going to be some short comings. With that being said, contrary to popular belief, Consumer Reports is a very bias publication in terms of auto ratings. So, to make a long story short I would buy another Mopar any day. Add it to my collection:
68 Dodge Charger
69 Dodge Superbee
73 Plymouth Cuda
73 Plymouth Duster
89 Dodge Ramcharger
