The left hand xenon headlight from my car turns off during driving. When I switch off the lights and turn them on again the headlight function again untill it will failure again. Then I have to repeat switching off and on again.
Do's anyone know what the cause is of this problem?
Sorry I don't have the answer for you, but my left hand light is flickering, almost like a loose connection.
Just wandered if yours did the same first, before it goes all together, I would have thought it was your ballast failing, but i'd wait until you get someone with more experience.
Mine LH headlight, also the RH, are not flickering. My LH headlight is just going off during driving. When I switch off both headlights using the lightswich on the dash and directly turned them on, then both lights are functioning again. Sometimes LH headlight will turn off after a view miles and sometimes its stays on.
I agree with Desiree. Flickering and/or erratic operation of HIDs usually means the bulb is shot. Try replacing with OEM quality bulb before looking for problems elsewhere.
And if you have never replaced one before, do not touch the glass portion of the bulb with your fingers as oil on them will cause the glass to break when the bulb gets hot.
Agree mine did that - bulbs on the way out. I bought bulbs from these guys for my 2008 CRD: D1S/D1R HID Xenon bulb free shipping back at the end of 2014. Much cheaper that OEM but been great for a couple of years now
