Just wondering if my auto stick is working correctly , here the scenario , in auto stick 4th come to a complete stop without downshifting , pull off again and cluster still displays 4th but I can tell it's in 1st and upshifts as it want to 4 then ? Is this normal? Seems wrong to me? Thanks in advance
Don't say it! Haha , when it was first taken in for its etc light limp mode problem , it got diagnosed , codes clears , told all was good , got it to limp on the drive home , went back then they stuffed me £420 for a new selector and still not fixed , must of been on the screw I think as they gave me the old , oooo it's either the tcm or the selector , so now I travel 50 miles to a better specialist
They did indeed , I didn't have a code reader at the time and it got worse when the mil came on aswell and restarting the engine didn't clear , in all truth was very worried at this point , so foolishly I went along with it , looking back now it did seem like a pin pot outfit just a warehouse style unit , so all ill say is stay clear of jdc in herefordshire
Unless I'm missing something here, the CRD uses the same 722.6 Nag 1 transmission as the hemi, the TCM programming will force downshifts at certain points, as it does it will be indicated in the EVIC window on the cluster. Every gear shift up or down the box should indicate as the new selected (through input or otherwise) gear is reached.
So you are saying BOTH of your cars does not show a downshift?
Mine doesn't change on the EVIC when downshifting either but its clearly downshifting (I have a transformer set to make shifts much quicker and I can feel it downshifting). Maybe a CRD software difference.
Yes there are settings for that, although when I played with them couldn't tell much of a difference. Certainly changes the lazy gear changing though. Plus burn out mode is a blast.
There are settings for both auto and stick mode, so no real need to turn off as you just set as desired. Burn out mode etc. just works in autostick mode.
