Luxury Leather Scent - help!

Hi guys, need your advice for a good luxury leather scent for a car. I’m so frustrated at this point, bought so many and it’s all junk. The last one that had good reviews and everybody recommended, I bought it and it’s not good at all. Leather Scent by Chemical Guys, disgusting smell, it does smell like true leather but not the type of leather that you wanna smell when you seat in the car. It’s like heavy duty rubber smell and choke your throat. Anyways, nothing luxury about it at all. When I was buying a car and mind you it was used, it had the most luxurious leather smell that you can imagine on those ivery leather seats. You sit there and it’s a pleasure to smell it. What product would you recommend? Who tried good ones? Maybe here there are some detailing guys who can recommend good qualitative product? Thanks a lot

I've used some air fresheners that were much better at generating smells unlike what they were labeled vs. what they were actually supposed to be.

I use the air fresheners from Scentsy.

Wouldn't call it "long lasting" on the scent tho.
I know what you mean. I owned an 89 300E Mercedes and that interior oozed rich leather smell!! And it was almost 20 years old!!

I tried that Meguiar's cleaner, it's kinda pleasant smell but not quite leathery, more shampoo-ey I would say. But I am sure there is a product out there. Detailers must be using something for sure to create that leathery ambiance....lol

Yea, I saw this one when I was doing my research. Says that it's more for cleaning, but doesn't hurt to try. Did you actually try this product?

Cannot believe it, nobody here can advice on such an important product?! Come'n, it's a lux car, not some sort of cheapo piece of junk. Nobody is using leather scent here?

What I did was stop by the carwash in our town and bought some of their leather scent spray fragrance. It works pretty well. You see, the issue ain't the leather spray, it's the leather It ain't what it used to be I'm afraid...

It cannot be the case. As I said I bought it last year, it is a used vehicle from 2008. So, how come when I bought it it had scent and within a year it doesn't... Leather never has such a powerful scent, it could not be possible that it preserved such a strong scent all the way from 2008 until last year and once I bought it, it's gone. Obviously it has been sptayed. Mind you my leather is one of those rarest types that u can only see only on some heritage chrysler, the softest, creamiest colour, but it cannot smell by itself! There must be a product!
