Thumbs up

You can get some AWESOME clay from one of our forum's supporting vendors Gary (Turbomangt). I've used his products and they're fantastic!! He has a website at www.perfectautofinish.com and he's always helping out with tips , tricks and advice. Give him a shout!

Hi all...

Surprise - surprise none of my auto accessory dealers stock 'clay'

I went on line to the UK HQ of Autoglym and even they do not currently sell it but state they intend to 'sometime in the future'! I have since discovered that I can obtain it from a UK internet supplier so I intend to give it a try.

Seems to be a true adage that the UK always follows the US...eventually!.

It's available at NAPA, Martin Senour part number 7260. Should be quicker than ordering online since NAPA can usually get stuff the same day or next day if your local store doesn't stock it. I am going to try it this weekend if the weather co-operates with me!

Just a thought. All clay is not created equal. I have tried several different brands of clay over the last couple of years and found that some tend to fall apart during the process and some stick to the surface even with a lot of lubricant. Just one Budd's opinion.

The clay I used stayed pretty solid and I used it on the whole car (literally). Near the end it started breaking up a little, but its mostly likely due to the absorbtion of the lubricant.

I just clayed my car yesterday and what a differance it makes to wax. There was a thread about waxes to use and some liked the liquid glass but said it was hard to remove after drying. I tried a spot of liquid wax on a car before using clay and it was difficult to remove, after using clay rub on my car the dry wax came off easier and the the color restored better than when i bought it. I took it down to get an oil change at the dealer and the salesman that sold me the car had to come out and look at it. He could not believe the car is a year and a half old. Bad news is when i picked up the car they had washed it. oh well start over
