Double your pleasure

This was an on site detail I did at the owners house. Did a reapplication of my paint seal on the black Ferrari and a first time application on the red spider. Must be nice to have 2 Ferrari's stacked in your garage. sorry about the lighting, kind of poor.

Before I started building Custom Homes, on my own. I used to wire homes for stereo, TV, mutli-media, etc. I started at 16 with car stereos, then the Co. moved me onto Home installation.

We had a customer (Dr.) who had an entire car port off to the side of his house. It was built in a semi-square formation. 6 Individual doors. and 2 sets of double doors.

3 of the single doors had a red, black and white Ferrari Testarossa's. The other 3 single doors had a red, black and white Ferrari 308's (Think Magnum P.I. Ferrari) That is the 308. Back in the day, Alpine head units could be pulled out of your car (security) and carry with you. We wired all 6 of his Ferrari's with the cradles for the Alpine systems. We programmed one garage door opener to open the doors indiv. or all at one time. He wanted to walk out in the morning, Alpine unit in hand and decide which Ferrari to drive. He would simply make his choice, climg on in and slip in his Alpine and go to work, lol.

One double garage was for his dailies, Suburban and 4 door BMW. The other double door was empty. We asked the Dr. what was going in that garage.

He said he was flying to Turin, Italy to be given a chance to test run an F-40. If he qualified, he would be allowed to purchase the F-40 and that is what he planned to put in the doule car garage alone.

It seems you had to be a multiple Ferrari owner to even be considered, by Ferrari, to own one of there F-40's. That was back then, I don't know if that is true today. It seems any one with a fat pocket book can just buy any Ferrari they want. The recent story of that guy in Cali. who trashed a rare Ferrari and then ran from the scene, on foot. No respect for the exotics anymore, that is a shame.

The Dr. was also a complete Audiophile, collected amazing art work and the women he had out by the pool, all day long. I think Hugh Hefner was his role model, lol. The Dr. was living large.

I installed one of these storage lifts for a customer, in his garage. They are sweet. Great way to keep your babies close to home.

Wow, one of my buddies just told me that there is this kid he hangs with that has a garage, it ramps down into like a basement garage and the kids dad has a rotating floor for his cars. So when he selects the car it moves to that position and you drive down and off. Supposedly the thing could hold 6 cars and rotate to each one by a press of the button inside the car.
