Cleaning the Leather

What do you guys use? My dealer told me to use a damp cloth... Are there any good leather cleaners that are safe to use?

I use Mopar Total Clean, which is recommended in the owners manual. Cost about $5 per bottle at the dealer.

Contact Gary at turbomangt (one of the forum sponsors) he sells the absolute best products! I used his products to clean and condition my leather, and it's about time to do it again.

I purchased an assortment of Lexol products. They have a leather conditioner and another for leather cleaning. I also got the Vinylex from Lexol for the dashboard and door panels.

Lexol LX-1212 is a value pack of all three products along with a pair of applicator pads. You save about seven dollars.

Lee, how are the Lexol products on your leather? Im thinking about buying the 3 different quick wipes. Are the vinyl wipes good for our huge rubbery type dashboard? Looks like a good deal on the package for the 3 products.

Thanks for all the info, I'm going to the KOP mall at lunch today to do some cleaner shopping.

FYI to anyone out there I have connection to a ZEP dealer if you ever need any more powerful cleaners, household or automotive.

Steven,

The Vinylex works well. A little goes a long way, and there was no streaking or smearing when applied. I have not used the wipes (type) product, but both the Vinylex and the Leather Conditioner in the sprayer bottle look good.

I would have liked the odor to be more neutral. It is a bit strong, but vanishes within a few hours.

I didn't use the leather cleaner since the car is new, but the person who turned me onto the Lexol stuff said the leather cleaner was excellent.

I use Zaino's leather cleaner and protectant. Works great and it even smells like leather not chemicals.
