How do u clean leather steering whells and/or protect them from wear

How do u clean leather steering wheels and/or protect them from wear. My old liberty's leather wore out got really unpleasant to look at

for starters use a PH balanced safe cleaner, cleaning it using a toothbrush (the brissels promote cleaning action) will produce great results. once you clean the wheel, condition it and you are good to go. Gary

REcently I used the leather cleaner and conditioner we got with our leather recliner to "restore" the leather wrap on our '94 T&C mini-van before we gave it to our church. Boy... I hadn't given the interior of that vehicle much attention for some time. I was quite surprised at how well it cleaned up, but it was a bit of work for sure! Wish I had thought about using a toothbrush though. Brilliant Gary!
