Slight change in car wash sequence

We know you do the wheels last, right? You dont want that filthy, brake dust water on the paint.

Well it takes me a while to wash the wheels, almost as long as the rest of the car. And I used to stress about the rest of the car drying (creating water spots) while I was doing the wheels.

No more. Now I do the body and dry the car. Then carefully do the wheels, while minimizing hose overspray. Makes the process less stressful and if I get at 'honey-do' berfore the wheels are done, well at least the rest of the car is ready.

wheels first!

I wash the wheels first. I spray them with simple green wheel cleaner, and use a wheel brush from Maguires, that looks as if it were made for the 300 srt8 wheels! it fits between the "spokes" perfectly. after the wheels are done, than I wash the rest of the car, not using the bucket at all, and this seems to work for me. also, just turned 5300 miles, and the brake dust doesn't appear to be as bad as it was when new.

I wash the wheels first. As I wash the rest of the car the wheels keep getting wet, so they never get a chance to dry and develop water spots. I dry the wheels last with microfiber towels.
