Anyone here use detailing products by Meguiars?

Just want to know if anyone here is using detailing products my Meguiars?

The main reason that I ask is that I have always used their mag wheel cleaner - it is the only one that really and truly gets that black dust off of my Mercedes Benz's rims without having to rub the 'sh1t' out of them.

But now I also have my new 300C and I need to be sure that things like their 'Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner/Conditioner with . . .' (blah blah blah) is good enough to use on my car.

As far as seats are concerned (leather) does anyone / has anyone used dubbin? Would this be a recommended practice? I have used it on my Mercedes Benz for years but I cannot say for sure if it stopped any cracks in the leather because the car was bought used and already had some cracks in the leather (although I don't think any new ones have appeared).

Also - are any of these dash / plastic cleaners any good? I had a very bad experience a very long time ago - I had a BMW 5 Series and the dash had no cracks in it at all. One time I bought and used some or the other dash cleaner and the very next day there were two hairline cracks in the dashboard. Coeincidence? I'll never know but ever since then I have never had the courage to try and use one of these nice smelling dash cleaners on any car of mine. Admittedly this was about 20 years ago at least but I'll never forget the experience.

Any and all input would be appreciated.

Regards,

Dale.

In earlier model cars many dash boards were cracking due to the use of armor all. They were sued in a class action law suit and lost, which resulted in them paying out millions. Its best to stay away from any solvent based dressings on your dash, it wil only cause problems. also you should never clean and condition leather in one step. you will only rub the dirt into the leather while attempting to condition, cleaning is one separate important step, then once its clean go ahead and condition. as far as meguiars. some of their stuff is good. some is not. Like any reputable companies, no one makes a full line of products that stand out, however many will make a handful of items that are good. the trick is finding them. That is why my products are so effective. I only market the best in each catagory. here is a tip, the red bottle Meguiars is marketed to the mass audience, not the best quality.
