Paint seal Lamborghini

here is a pic of Lamborghini I applied my paint seal to. Some people have asked me if the shine on a paint sealant provides the same gloss as a wax. You be the judge. Gary

First of all, if anyone lives close enough to Chicago, I would encourage you to attend one of my detailing clinics. They are posted on my web site. Car dealers have capitalized on the newer technology in regard to paint sealant for years. I go out and visit dealers near me just to see what they are asking for the application and I have found prices anywhere from $499-1100. This is a HUGE moneymaker for car dealers. When I apply a sealant for a customer, I charge $150, which is a fair price. I also show people how to do it themselves. The sealant I sell is the same one I use in my shop. As paint technology has evolved through man-made chemicals, it only makes sense that the same technology should be used to preserve the paint. The simple explanation is this. Modern paint sealants contain polymers that cure in minutes on your car creating the best possible sacrificial layer of protection for your car. As the sealant sits on the finish, it starts to make a chemical bond, extreme temperatures do not affect it as wax does, and will repel more environmental contaminants more so than any type of wax. Some companies sell you an additive in addition to their sealant; truth is most high quality sealants (like mine) have the curing additives in them already. I suggest a 2 part procedure after claying the car. First one is a deep cleaner which will remove minor surface blemishes and will also polish the car, then follow with the sealant. If you have more questions, PM me here. www.perfectautofinish.com Gary

How is your process different from something like Zaino? How often do you have to reapply? Can you wax or polish over it?

Zaino is a boutique retail product, I sell professional grade. Plus Zaino is much more expensive. I suggest re applying every 6 months or so. You can wax over it, but once the selanat is down and you wax, remember not to seal over the wax again unless you clay. polishing is fine. you can layer if you want but keep I would do a poly seal every so often for optimum gloss. Layering after say the third layer is redundant, because all you do is remove preivious layers. I love when I hear a guy say I have 30 layers of ........ on my car. Gary

Gary, is there any way you could post on the "how to" area for us poor people not living close to you? Since I got my car in June I have done nothing to it but plan to clay and possibly put on your sealer as I don't see the need to wax when I see your Lambo. I presume you ship to Canada?

Im on the market and was going to buy Zaino.....now why should I buy this stuff over Zaino?? Is Zaino not professional??? Claying a car removes contaminants not strip wax or sealant...no?? The reason I ask is that you say do not seal over the wax unless you clay. Does Zaino not having curing agents??? The deep cleaner is a swirl and scratch remover???? Now you have clayed your car and put the sealant down...now what in six months.....repeat?
Sorry for all the questions...I too am from Canada and wont be able to attend the seminar. Also, I was always told you get what you pay for.....
Zaino has a proven track record and forums that specialize in car care swear by Zaino.
