How to fix bird dropping damage?

Zaino'd my new car today (<1000 miles) and it looks terrific, but....

While not obvious, at a certain angle I can see damage done by (I'm assuming) a bird dropping left on my hood. This car was bought by my dealer from DCX auction, so I wouldnt be surprised if it sat somewhere for a long time before getting to their showroom. I didn't see it while I was clay bar'ing, but am positive I did that area well.

What would be the best approach to fixing this?

The acid in bird droppings will "etch" the clear coat, which can permanently damage the finish. if its not too bad, sometimes it can be buffed out, I have resorted to wet sanding in some cases, success rate is 50/50. Gary
