Wanna detail my car today & not sure what to buy

I'll be buying the products from either Walmart or Advance Auto. I own a BB Touring & everytime i take it to the laser wash i still see swirls all over the car. Not to mention dirt also. I also want some type of leather cleaner as my leather is already getting dirty from peoples jeans. I got that light beige color not grey.

Thanks in advance.

My advise - buy Meguiars first or whatever is on sale! Try to avoid combo products like wash-n-wax but if you don't want to spend all day it is ok to use a cleaner wax. Also remember that polish is not wax and offers no paint protection. Polish is the step between washing and wax to eliminate swirls, water spots and brightness then followed by wax. Never use a hand circular motion - only use front to back motion. Get everything like wash mitt, polishing cloths and drying towels in micro-fiber or synthetic chamois. Real leather chamois are good but do not last. One of the best drying cloth is "Water Sprite" - but it is hard to find. Do not buy the "Absorber" synthetic towels or the ones that feel like rubbery cloth especially on a Black car. Good Luck!

paint sealant

Over the weekend my brother and I clayed our cars, and used the paint sealant that I ordered from TurbomanGT. The results were amazing. I snapped a couple quick pics today of my 300c and my brother's BMW.

I will jump in here for a minute. I don't know how many coats he used in that application, but I can tell you one coat will provide up to 6 months of protection. These guys that talk about "layering" are only wasting product. Once you get passed 3 layers, every time you add another layer, you are removing one. That is why synthetic polymers were intorduced, so you can have superior protection without all the work. Gary

Personally,I have found that, if initally, you apply 2 coats on a new car ,
and re-apply 1 coat every 3 months, you will have a continous brillant shine.
I also use Gary's "Ultimate Spray& Shine" for a touch-up after carwashes.
It keeps that "POW" look going strong.
I really like the way his products work, and the ease of using them.
Remember "Old Guy" here.lol
Again,this is just my opinion
.

To apply Gary's product... it took me about 30 to 45 minutes making sure I cover every spot. Leave it on for about 20 minutes, then buff off with a clean microfiber towel.

I applied one coat of sealant

Preparation takes a little longer before applying the sealant
Washed car with Dawn dish soap, then dry
Clayed entire vehicle.
Wash again to remove the clay lube residue, then dry.
Apply Gary's Paint Sealant.

Once you clay the first time, claying again in 3 months depends on the amount you drive. If its a show car, then no. If its a daily driver, then yes. Once you get used to claying it shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes to do the entire car. Practice makes perfect. Gary
