Lets talk cars

I was looking at the msn car guide and it listed the most affordable (fun) cars to drive. The one that caught my eye was the new Pontiac Roadster. I think it is called the soltice or something. The style is unique, sporty, and priced right. around 20k. but why is it whenever they come up with what seems to be a winner they throw a 4 cylinder in it. Perhaps with the size/weigtht ratio in it makes it quick. I would like to see if a 6' 4" person can fit in without needing the jaws of life to get out. I still can't talk my wife out of trading in her Avalon for another one. My vote for the 300c doesn't count for much. Gary

If it's the same size as a Miata or Z4, forget it. I'm 6' 3" and 250. No way I can fit into that. I can barely fit into the little car I'm driving now...

So, take her for a test drive.

What does she like about the Avalon? What doesn't she like about the Avalon? Build on these points and relate them to the 300C. You have to put some doubt in her mind that purchasing another Avalon wouldn't be a wise decision. When you get to this point, then you're starting to sell.

People don't buy through logic. They buy emotionally and back the purchase with logic. Excite her emotions, and she'll go out and buy a 300C.

Which brings us to this point in human nature......If I say it, people will tend to doubt me. If they say it, it's true.

Get her to say it, by asking questions, and you're home free.

I have to agree with her on the fact that the Avalon is a NICE car...my fiancee is tossing the decision between that and an ES330 we saw this weekend. While she likes my C, it is not exactly what she would have in mind for her daily drives.

Can't fault your wife or my fiancee for this one!!

The Saturn Sky is spectacular, even nicer than the Solstice.

The Pontiac Solstice and the Saturn Sky are manufactured here at the Wilmington, Delaware Boxwood Road Assembly plant. I live about 15 minutes from the GM plant.

We also have the DC Newark Assembly plant that manufactures the Dodge Durango. I live about 15 minutes the other way from that plant as well.
