V.r.t.

Two weeks ago I received my Adam's V.R.T. and sponges that I ordered. I was looking for something to detail my dash, rubber vinyl and tires with. I read the bottle and it appears to tell me to use on exterior only. I searched the forum and it appears that I can use it anywhere (comments?) .

Anyways, I put it on the tires of my 300C. I was detailing because...well just because. I went to the mountains for the weekend and had to drive on a dirt road (actually it was a powdery dust ball of a road) and I was cursing the entire way. I knew that the waxes and protectants that I had on would help some but, all said and done, the car looked dusty and like crap after the road trip.

My wife comes in yesterday (car is still dirty, it's been reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal hot lately and I have had to get up mighty early to clean it ) and says, "I don't know what you did to those tires but they still look great." She's not easily impressed.

Good job Adam's on one hell of a tire cleaner/protectant/detailer. It is awesome.

Thanks for the kind words!! You can put VRT on all vinyl and rubber surfaces, it's just on interior some of feel it's a little too shiny, I prefer Leather Conditioner for my dash

And Plastics, right? I used it to clean my wheel wells. They look awesome as well. I used it on all of the non-leather, non-chrome pieces in the interior and they all look great and I don't think it looks too shiny. Also I thought that the V.R.T. has a UV protectant that will help protect against discoloration and drying out.

I used it on the dash and really rushed the job, because I didn't feel like it would be that noticeable, but my wife got in the car and said "Wow, the dash looks great, except the spots you missed." So I'll finish that.

Jason, do you think there is anything wrong with using it on the dash? I want to protect it against warping, cracking and other damage from the powerful and mighty Phoenix sun (as apposed to the not so powerful or mighty Phoenix Suns ). I have lived here a long time and I have seen many dashes go down this path. I don't know if the new dashes have this problem, but I am trying to protect against it.

Thanks for your products and insight.

Nothing wrong with using it on the dash, VRT has built in SPF 35 protection.

Leather Conditioner has SPF 65

Now I have to buy more leather cleaner and conditioner. Every time I think, that should be enough, I come here post a little post and then bam back on the web getting more stuff. And I thought $75 a tank was expensive...

Thanks Jason

There's a discount code? I should have done a search before I bought the V.R.T. Thanks for the info.

Hey Jason,

I used the VRT on my dash and my windshield now has a fogging. Do you think maybe I put too much on, or have you heard of this before?

Thanks,

Chris

Chris, if you got some on your windshield during application then wiped it off it may just be smudged VRT. Glass Cleaner or Detail Spray will take it right off. Typically it takes a petroleum based product to evaporate and leave a film - our VRT is water based so any evaporation that occurs shouldn't leave anything behind.

Let me know how it goes after you clean the clouding off the glass - if the clouding returns I mean.
