Once that tuning becomes available you can return the 300 to stock and ship the InTune to DiabloSport for a reflash. The programs will be different so a reflash will be needed. Or you sell your InTune and get another tool with the program you need for the new car.
Bought the Intune & put on the 91 Octane CAI Tune & WOW!
Tried a 0-60 run and just one, and I got 5.26 sec
My previous best was a one time 5.67 stock, and rest were avg 6.2.
Mind you this was at -5 degrees on the original tires which need changing soon since they have been around for 3.5 years & 66K kilometers.
And to top it off, when I filled up before applying the tune I was at 16.3 L / 100 KM (here in Canada, the higher the worse), and after driving around and the 0-60 run, 16.2
Only thing I found weird was that when I bought it, the box wasn't sealed in plastic or anything, and the tuner itself already had a car on it. I called the guy back and asked if it was refurbished, but he said that it was new and that they may have just tested it on that car, but if any problems to come see him. Do you guys know about that?
You saw a 33hp gain from a canned tune to a cmr dyno tune!!!??? That's way more than I was told before. To me anything over 25 Hp is worth the cmr tune and throwing them 500 bucks. I just need a good tuner. Oh and the cash

Congrats! Told ya you wouldn't regret it!
So you were talking earlier about fuel economy - have you tried the Mileage Booster yet? DS claims up to 3 MPG improvement, but I've never really tried it and logged it yet. Might be something that interests you.
As to the open package - sounds shady to me. I've never heard of a new device having a previous car loaded on it. But I'm not sure what you mean - if it is already married to another car then it shouldn't let you tune yours. Why do you think there is another car on it?
In the end, the device itself is just software. So if the software works, the device works. It's not really a wearable part, so buying a used tuner can be a very good way to save some money (as long as it is unmarried!).
Anyways, congrats again. Enjoy it. And although you said earlier that you aren't a pro tuner and won't be changing parameters... let's see how long that lasts. I recommend going to your parameters and changing your shifts from stock to firm - that one little tweak really makes a difference with these sluggish trannys we have.

I've heard of CMR's picking up that much hp. Obviously the car would need some other performance mods as well to allow the CMR to do it's work, and with your particular setup I would certainly think that you could get some respectable gains.

what does changing the shifts from stock to firm do? Will it be more responsive when using auto-stick, and eliminate the small delay?
As for what I mean by the thing having a vehicle on it, I went into reset vehicles and it had 1 on it already and it asked me to enter a passcode which I didn't know, same as clear registry.
I was able to update my car though, and then when i checked, 2 vehicles show up now in that reset vehicle screen.

That is strange. Normally, if it's VIN locked to another vehicle, it won't load. Are you sure you didn't just see the initial popup message stating the DS loads on particular types of vehicles? I'd check with DiabloSport on this and determine if it's a new feature for tools they produce now.
I am certain you would have been able to put the tune on your car if it was VIN locked to another. If it had been loaded on another car, then that car was returned to stock and the canned tune returned to the programmer, it would not list the prior vehicle.
My DS Predator box or tuner wasn't sealed in plastic, either. And I know it was new as I was an early adopter and have purchased two others since I got mine (one for my truck, one for a surprise for a local serviceman serving in Afghanistan) and those two weren't wrapped in plastic, either.

Yup...that's why I say they are worth the money. Remember, though, my car does have an intake/exhaust/180 degre tstat and it is a 6.1L engine so YMMV.

I have some pretty good mods to help but the only tuner I have heard of is hemi31 and he is 5 hours from me and I'm not even sure if he has a dyno. I would be more than happy to see that kinda gain from a canned tune to a cmr tune. I know every situation is different but WOW! Id love to get a cam and have a cmr tune and with a 13.3 I'm sure id see a 12 in there somewhere!

If I go to settings and click on delete vehicle, there are 2 that show up. Initially there was just one, so I'm assuming mine is the second. I thought I could erase that initial one but it asked me for a password which I didn't know.
But I was able to successfully install my tune & it made a backup of my original, so I dunno. My car works ok & I saw a difference, so I guess all is well.

Well, first, I'd download your tune to your computer so you always have a backup of your stock tune.
But I'd also download this mysterious extra car's tune and email it to DS asking what the heck it is and why it would be on a new tuner.
