GPS speed calibration could always be challenged, so I don't think this would be a problem. However, the car's built-in "black box" will record from the speedo drive and this evidence might be more difficult to dispute. On the other hand, a recording of your own speed (if authenticated) could prove beneficial in some situations.

The last picture I see from Pauls camera would definitely have been incriminating lol...
Ray,
I was hit by a sheep farmer - the trailer as fully loaded with 2 rows of sheep.
I've had my Blackvue for well over 2 years now, and had just put the HD version onto the front of the car and the original is now my rear facing one. There are varous setting you can use on these units - GPS/MPG/Speech settings - all down to individual choice - from experience do not by from E-Bay as most of the Blackvue unit will be from foreign sellers - try this company - Novus-gps-.co.uk. One of the reason i went for the Blackvue was the fact it would record any data if someone it your car whilst you were parked up - the unit has parking settings.
The car is being taken away on Monday to be assessed and i'll have a hire car in its place so i'll have to see what outcome will be.
I'll post somemore photo's up as i don't think the car is as bad as the one that have been posted with rear end damage

I do hope the car is not written off - if it is then i'll be reluctant to buy another - give the very low speed of the shunt i'm amazed at the damage and could understand it if the speed was higher
Very nice, what size sim card and software are you running? Also do the imported ones from ebay are language switchable? Are there any other brands you recommend?

I'm using a 16gb micro sim card in both camera and the other brand to look at is Roadhawk.
I choose the Blackvue unit as it looks more discreet, but thats just my choice.

Force = Mass X Acceleration (or in this case, deceleration).
Given the fairly large mass shunted into your rear end, the 300C seems to have coped quite well.

I'll have to wait to see if its written off, and the more i read on this the more i convince myself the car is going to be scrapped, but that's just me thinking the worst. So if the car is a write off then i don't think that's copping well with what is a very minor shunt.
Until the insurance do they stuff everything is just 'ifs' and 'maybes' at present.
